More news the MSM will censor

From OneNewsNow...

According to the report, a large stockpile of concentrated natural Uranium, known as "yellowcake," reached a Canadian port to complete a top secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad, and a ship voyage crossing two oceans. The Uranium material had been housed at a former Iraqi nuclear complex 12 miles from Baghdad.

[Retired Major General Jerry] Curry says the president kept mum about the discovery in order to keep terrorists in the dark. "He made a very brave stand, a resolute stand..., in which he decided that he wasn't going to blab everything to the press," Curry commends. "...And in the meantime while he kept it quiet, he was buying time from the terrorists to get all that stuff out of the country. So that's what was done -- he just very quietly kept his mouth shut."

"The press beat him to death for the last several years," he continues, "and now it turns out that, yes, there were weapons of mass destruction...." Curry also maintains that Saddam Hussein had an active nuclear program and the material could have been made into a nuclear weapon.

President Bush's actions took courage, he notes, and all Americans should be thankful to have such a brave president who puts the welfare of the American people above personal considerations.

Actually it was AFP (a french news service) not the Associated Press that covered the story. It was picked up by only a handful of independent papers including SpaceWar.com and The Middle East Times. Meanwhile if you search for the term "yellowcake" you get stories about how mean the White house was to Joe Wilson, the guy who was paid to find out if Saddam Hussein had any yellowcake, and lied and said he didn't. The MSM continue to push the lie that there was no uranium, were no WMD and Joe Wilson didn't lie.

Wow, did you even try? It was covered ALL OVER. The article was titled "US removes uranium from Iraq" (proceeded with a an "AP Exclusive" not a "AFP Exclusive"). It's not really news though, because that yellowcake has been there for over 25 years. We didn't find it in this war, we knew about it from the last one. It's been there that long. The only thing that Bush kept mum about was that the Iraqis sold it to Canada, and it had to be shipped. There were no WMDs, there was no active nuclear program. Not only did your OneNewsNow site miss facts, they reported on it almost a month late. I'm sure that General Curry is a very nice man, and a dedicated American. He just should have checked his facts first.

Just a couple of corrections:

1. Yellowcake is not a WMD. A dirty bomb made with it is highly questionable. That said I would
not want my pillow filled with it.

2. The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and the UN knew about this since at least 1992.
It was under guard and sealed until recently. There is no "liberal" news blackout.
This story is hardly news. (It is good this was not made public before it was transferred
to Canada for obvious security reasons)

3. Joe Wilson was not paid to find out of Saddam had yellowcake. He was sent to Africa to find a secret
transaction between Niger and Iraq. He did not find any evidence and reported this fact. Bushes inclusion
of the Niger/Iraq transaction during the State of the Union address was dubious at best. Our own intelligence
indicated the story was unreliable or possibly even fabricated and warned him it should not be included.

I suggest you stick to the theory that the tooth fairy packed up all of the WMD and sent them to Syria.

Oh Danny, again you are clueless.
Joe Wilson went to Niger to find out if Saddam had made a deal to purchase yellowcake. Not to see if he had it. So Joe Wilson didn't lie at all, and the outing of his wife in retaliation is shameful.

I hope you don't use such badly distorted facts when home schooling your children.

By the way, ever notice that most of the comments on the few entries that have comments are from people pointing out how wrong your statements are?
