Spitting on the victims of Flight 93

The crew and passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 were murdered by Moslem extremists. The star and crescent is the symbol of Islam. So to "honor" the victims and heroes of Flight 93 what do the morons in charge of the memorial do? Why make the memorial in the shape of a star and crescent. They don't stop there. They've carefully aligned the star and crescent "memorial" so that, according to Islamic tradition, it lines up with Mecca, making the memorial more or less a Mosque. Oh, but wait, that's not all. They've also included 44 glass blocks to represent each of the crew, passengers and THE TERRORISTS WHO MURDERED THEM!!

What I can't figure out is that with the heroism the passengers displayed, why are the families cooperating with such an atrocity?
