Democrat racism: business as usual
Two of the Democrat Presidential hopefuls attempted to out do each other this weekend schmoozing the lowest elements of society in what I like to call "vote chumming".
Hillary Clinton, one of two women running for the Democrat nomination (the other being John Edwards) as well as the Democrat's "teen wonder" Barack Obama spoke at the annual conference of the racist organization that unabashedly calls itself La Raza, or "The Race". A recent president of La Raza, Raul Yzaguirre, is quoted as saying, "US English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks."1 Demonstrating the level of "openness" the racist organization has. This would be the same Raul Yzaguirre who Hillary Clinton hired as part of her campaign, in order to reach the minority of America's Hispanic population who embrace such bigoted attitudes. It's unknown if Hillary has bothered to attempt to reach the unbigoted majority of Hispanics. Perhaps she assumes all Hispanics are as closed-minded and racist as Yzaguirre.
According to DiscoverTheNetworks.org La Raza's agenda includes...
- Support for access to driver's licenses for illegal immigrants.
- Opposing the REAL ID Act, which requires that all driver's license and photo ID applicants be able to verify they are legal residents of the United States, and that the documents they present to prove their identity are genuine. According to La Raza, this law "opens the door to widespread discrimination and civil rights violations."
- Opposing the Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal Act (CLEAR), which would empower state and local law-enforcement authorities to enforce federal immigration laws. La Raza argues this would "result in higher levels of racial profiling, police misconduct, and other civil rights violations."
- It lobbies for racial and ethnic preferences (affirmative action) and set-asides in hiring, promotions, and college admissions.
- It supports bilingual education and bilingual ballots.
- It supports voting rights for illegal aliens.
- It supports stricter hate-crime laws.
- It opposes the Aviation Transportation and Security Act requiring that all airport baggage screeners be U.S. citizens.
- It opposed President Bush's signing of the "Secure Fence Act of 2006" which authorized 700 miles of new border fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Michelle Malkin reports...
Among The Race's most infamous government-funded charter schools is La Academia Semillas del Pueblo, the Los Angeles public school that teaches "Aztec math" (ancient dot math is the new math) and the Mexican indigenous language of "Nahuatl." The ethnic separatist principal of the school, Marcos Aguilar, told a sympathetic UCLA interviewer:
"We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain. . . . We are not interested in what they have because we have so much more and because the world is so much larger. And ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."
So you can see why I'd call catering to such groups, "vote chumming". Normally you'd get the image of a candidate holding their nose as they catered to such a disgusting group of separatists, but we're talking about Liberal Democrats here, so they're used to the stench.
Both candidates attempted to appeal to the racist group with promises of relaxed laws against illegal immigration, ignoring the fact that citizens as well as legal immigrants are helped, not hurt by laws against illegal immigration, but then Democrats tend to assume all Latinos are illegal immigrants simply overjoyed at the opportunity to clean some rich, white person's toilet.
Democrats candidates sure seem to love these rare times they get to meet "the help".
