A panel of Iraqi judges has upheld the death sentence passed against Saddam Hussein, a spokesman for the court said, in a decision that could see the ousted dictator hanged within 30 days.

He is lucky that Iraq uses a gallows, so his neck will be broken, and the death will be quick. In Iran they hang people by tieing the rope to a crane, and then hauling them up by the rope tied around their neck, and they strangle to death.
