Religion of Evolution strives to get "religion" out of school by using Liberal pastors

From CNN...

American scientists fighting back against creationism, intelligent design and other theories that seek to deny or downgrade the importance of evolution have recruited unlikely allies -- the clergy.

Well, they didn't really recruit them. By and large these are liberal "clergy" that pastor pseudo-churches that teach the Bible is false and sin is fun. They were already part of the religion of Evolution.

And they have taken their battle to a new level, trying to educate high school and even elementary school teachers on how to hold their own against parents and school boards who want to mix religion with science....

In other words the Religion of Evolution doesn't like having any competition, which is exactly what would happen if government school children are encouraged to actually start thinking for themselves, rather than gulping down the pre-digested dogma the Evolutionist zealots feed them.

But pastors are speaking out against it. Warren Eschbach, a retired Church of the Brethren pastor and professor at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania helped sponsor a letter signed by more than 10,000 other clergy.

If you know anything about the history of the various denominations, it should make you curious why a former Church of the Brethren pastor would be a professor at a Lutheran Seminary. When the Church of the Brethren was formed in the early 18th century they intentionally avoided entanglement with the Lutheran church. But due to Liberal infiltration of both denominations any real teaching has been pushed out and replaced with Liberal nonsense. In other words, there's not much left of what they used to be to actually present any difference.

How hard would it be to get 10,000 signatures of pseudo-Christian pastors? Not all that hard. A few years back SEICUS did the same thing with a paper advocating the morality of homosexuality and was able to get as many signatures fairly quickly. It's pretty much the same group.

"We believe that the theory of evolution is a foundational scientific truth, one that has stood up to rigorous scrutiny and upon which much of human knowledge and achievement rests," they wrote.

At least they used the word "believe" although I imagine they expect people will not notice that, and accept what they claim. But remember, these are "religious" leaders claiming to offer support for science, in an effort to distance religion from science. No, I don't believe they actually get how stupid that really sounds.

Catholic experts have also joined the movement.

"The intelligent design movement belittles God. It makes God a designer, an engineer," said Vatican Observatory Director George Coyne, an astrophysicist who is also ordained. "The God of religious faith is a god of love. He did not design me."

Unfortunately the Catholic church is stuck with that troublesome "infallibility of the Pope" nonsense and therefore have to continue to defend the senile mumbling of Pope John Paul 2. But it's sad that they actually choose to claim "The God of religious faith is a god of love. He did not design me," rather than admit that an aged, frail, demented old man might say something that isn't true. That's what happens when you place tradition over Scripture.
